The Epson WorkForce DS-970 A4 Duplex Sheet-fed Document Scanner is a high-performance business scanner designed for organizations that handle large volumes of documents every day. Its fast scanning performance, robust paper handling and advanced document-processing features make it suitable for offices, banks, financial institutions, government organizations and document management environments.

The DS-970 can scan at speeds of up to 85 pages per minute (ppm) / 170 images per minute (ipm) at 200 and 300 dpi in both color and black-and-white. At 600 dpi, it can scan at up to 23 ppm / 46 ipm, providing a balance between high-quality imaging and productivity. Its one-pass duplex system scans both sides of a document in a single pass.

A 100-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) supports continuous batch scanning. The scanner can handle paper from 27 to 413 g/m² and supports document sizes from 50.8 × 50.8 mm up to 215.9 × 6,096 mm in long-document mode. Epson Scan 2 and Document Capture software provide tools for scanning, organizing and processing documents, while customized job settings can simplify repetitive scanning tasks.
